Life is a party wave, and we're all invited

Life is a party wave.

Hi Reader,

So many good things have happened in the last week or two, and so many smiling, radiating people involved, it's hard to know where to start reflecting.

The further I go through life the more Adams there seem to be. Last week there were three of us surfing together. Adam @soulsurfcoach (pictured above) is surfing a different craft every day in September, raising money and awareness for The Wave Project. His last day is next Tuesday so I'll be jumping in the water keeping him company. Please follow him and give him some love.

I've also been to a festival of philosophy called How The Light Gets In, which was both mind-blowing and mind-expanding. It's a funny sensation experiencing both at once, but a good thing, I think! There don't seem to be many aspects of life and nature which can't be challenged or turned upside down, and inside out, leaving us wondering where the solid ground is, if there is any. This I find somehow both deeply humbling, and inspiring.

At the event I was blessed to witness a beautiful interview between Brian Cox (all-round awesome guy and cosmologist) and Sir Roger Penrose who won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2020, when he was 89!! It was like a chat between two dear friends, about how the big bang might have been not just the beginning of our universe but also the end of the previous one, and how this might continue infinitely, although time itself seems to lose its meaning at such points ... 🀯

I also heard an extremely heart-warming and encouraging interview between Alistair Campbell and Neil Kinnock, who at 83 also brings a freedom, as well as humour, to blend with his deep passion, which in his case is simply, "wanting to help". I found that so humbling. My biggest learning was that he was not fuelled by ambition. Rather, seeing things that could be done better and wanting to do something about it. Mostly to do with the social fabrics that make up a healthy society.

The waves and smiles of our surf networking events were both an example of this, and a grounding tonic. Thanks to Clare Trice of CTCC Solutions (above) and Tim Hill of Action Coach Truro (below left) and all our guests, including Adam Kesacoff (below right), for making it a delightful morning of party waves. And if you want to see what a party wave is and what a joyous one looks like - see here.

See you next week!

Adam

PS As always, let me know your thoughts on time, the universe and sharing the stoke. No topic too deep, no galaxy too far away!
