It’s encouraging to see more and more people recognising hypnotherapy as a powerful approach for change, in wellbeing, performance, confidence, and leadership. But for many, the how is still a bit of a mystery.
So what actually happens in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?
It’s a good question. And what happens might seem simple on the surface, yet it quietly changes everything underneath.
In this week’s short video (below 👇) I explain the flow I use, whether working 1:1, in a group, or online. It’s less about analysing the past, and more about building the future.
And here’s why that matters.
When we focus on what’s working, the brain literally starts to light up in different places. The networks for curiosity and creativity begin to fire.
When we remember successes, confidence circuits strengthen. The Reticular Activating System - the part of our mind that determines what we pay attention to - starts scanning the world for more reasons to feel positive. And less to dwell on the past.
Plus, when we picture a preferred future in relaxed awareness, our subconscious begins to recognise it as familiar. Not a fantasy, but a rehearsal.
Little by little, those rehearsals become reality.
It’s neuroscience in motion.
Small shifts, repeated often.
That’s the how of hope. And recovery. Even from trauma.
And it works - for individuals, for teams, for leaders.
